Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani chaired a meeting to assess the progress of five major sewer projects in Abu Ghraib, Sabaa Al-Bour, Al-Wahda, Al-Nahrawan, and Al-Rashidiya.
Attended by the Governor of Baghdad, senior officials, project managers, and contractor representatives, the meeting focused on completion rates, implementation challenges, and solutions to ensure timely and high-quality execution.
Al-Sudani specifically addressed water supply issues in Sabaa Al-Bour, ordering immediate action alongside ongoing sewer project work. He underscored the importance of these infrastructure projects for public welfare, instructing all stakeholders to expedite completion while maintaining safety standards in residential areas. Additionally, he emphasized the use of locally manufactured pipes from Iraq’s private sector.
