WMCL is a women bikers’ motorcycle club recently established by household and business women. The goal of this club is to create awareness that women have the same abilities and rights as men to drive bikes. “More than creating this gender balance, we aim at inviting all drivers to respect traffic laws. ‘Respect speed limits, wear hamlets and never drive under the influence of alcohol’ is our message to all bikers,” said one of the founders of WMC to ifpinfo.
WMCL is currently getting officially registered as a club and membership will be open to any women interested in biking and serving the society. “Our biking and concurrent activities are all intended to serve the community. We will organize fund raising ventures for charity purposes,” said Annie Badr, the captain of the women’s team who is responsible for planning and leading the tours of group. “We will show that we can drive as anyone else who loves biking, but we will also demonstrate that biking is really fun and not dangerous if traffic laws are respected.”
